It’s not easy to make a vinyl Youtooz. Learn more about the process of making a Youtooz cartoon by checking out this behind-the-scenes look! From inception to end product (a lovable figure).
5–8 HOUR IDEATING TIME
In-house artists at Youtooz cartoon collaborate with the person or team the Youtooz is based on to draw stances and situations that represent the character. For the Youtooz, we often have live drawing sessions with screen sharing. Go through mood boards, or collect suggestions using a comprehensive form.
It is then presented to the character’s original inventor, IP holder, or owner for final approval. There may be many iterations of the concept’s changes before it reaches its final form. With each iteration incorporating input or addressing specific concerns. Discounted code available to avail discount on Youtooz discount code.
20+ MUSICIAN(S)
Over twenty North American artists with formal art training work full-time for Youtooz as our design team. Each and every one of our Youtooz is the result of the hard work of our concept artists, package illustrators, and 3D modelers.
TURN-AROUND AND COLOR GUIDE
In order to envision how the idea would appear in 3D, the Youtooz cartoon artist makes a 4-point turnaround of the idea and selects the pantone colors that will be painted on the model. With more than 3,000 possible pantone colors, choosing the right one is crucial for accurately depicting the figure in a painted representation.
THE 3D VERSION OF 8-16 HOUR
Our 3D modelling team receives the color guide and turnaround files from the concept artist. Next, the Youtooz sculptor will shape some “digital clay” into a first-ever 3D rendition of the Youtooz. Once the preliminary 3D model is complete, it is sent to the creator, IP holder, or owner for approval.
8-20 HOURS OF PACKING
At Youtooz, our package designers collaborate with the inventor or IP owner to draw the window-box design while the sculptor works on the 3D model. The interior, exterior, and sleeve art were all produced in tandem by the Youtooz artist and the originator, IP holder, or owner. Ideas may come from anything, from explaining the situation to be drawn to reviewing references from earlier material.
First draughts for character owners to study and provide feedback on often take between four and eight hours to develop.
TRIVIA SAMPLING EVERY 3–4 WEEKS
Our design team provides the Youtooz cartoon production team with the character files after the package artwork and 3D model are finished. An initial 3D printed prototype is used to preview the final Youtooz’s physical appearance.

HOLDING PRESSURE FOR 4-8 WEEKS
After receiving approval from the inventor or IP holder on a prototype, steel-mold manufacturing will commence. Each component and addition to the Youtooz is laser cut from steel using a computer numerically controlled machine.
Creating a mould requires more time when the design is more intricate. We’ve had a few that took six months of development. After finishing with a mould, we reuse the steel to create another figurine.
A standard Youtooz mould may weigh more than 500 kg. A small crane is needed to transport these molds.
TIMING FOR VINYL INJECTION: 3–4 WEEKS
Once the mould is complete, liquid vinyl is pumped into it and the resulting solid Youtooz are removed from the mould. It’s amazing to see how a Youtooz takes shape little by bit!
- Pre-painted and unassembled Sad-ist vinyl parts.
- At our affiliated factories, almost 1400 people are employed in specialized production lines to create Youtooz.
- After the injection molding process is complete, the sadist Youtooz parts are taken out of the mould.
3–4 WEEKS FOR ASSEMBLY AND FINAL PAINT
Each Youtooz figurine is painstakingly hand-assembled and painted by the manufacturing team after each component is made.
- Fine-tuning the Troll Face Youtooz painting.
- Refining Nightfall’s eye paintwork.
QA THREE TO FOUR WEEKS FOR DESIGN AND COLOR CHECK
Our QA and QC teams have started checking each figure for flaws and discrepancies as manufacturing begins to take shape. Once the Youtooz cartoon have been approved, they will be packaged in their window box and sent to our distribution center.
Youtooz go through rigorous quality control measures to guarantee they have the ideal shape, including measurements, weight distribution, and level of hardness.
CHECKS = 96
Each Youtooz is verified for quality using our 96-point checklist before being shipped.
TIME REQUIRED FOR PACKING AND SHIPPING: ONE TO FOUR WEEKS
Each Youtooz, after being wrapped in its window box and sleeve, is placed in a protective case before being packed in a carton for shipping. Every day, thousands of Youtooz are sent out into the world.
EXACTLY WHERE AND BY WHOM ARE YOUTOOZ MANUFACTURED?
Shenzhen, China is home to the factories that produce Youtooz cartoon, and inside those factories are hundreds of highly trained engineers and toy experts. The city of Shenzhen is a major exporter of everything from cell phones to children’s toys since it is a center for high-tech production. There is a thorough audit mechanism in place, with regular inspections for a range of compliance criteria, for every partner institution that works on Youtooz statistics.
PROTECT THE ENVIORNMENT
It is a point of pride for us to guarantee that all of the facilities with which we work adhere to all applicable health and safety requirements, conduct their operations in an ethical manner, and protect the environment.
When evaluating quality and morality, our team uses the Disney International Labor Standards programed. Which is generally regarded as the most comprehensive compliance programmed worldwide for manufacturing. Third-party audits from organizations like Amfori, Intertek, and Sedex help us keep our practices up to pace with those of the ILS programmed.
CARDS YOUTOOZ
I was inspired by Youtooz cartoon miniatures and Hockey Trading cards for my creation. Design changes every “Youtooz Season.” Other collections get distinctive designs the ordinary collection doesn’t.
Copyright restrictions prevent me from selling them. I’ll post links to buy figurines every 50 cards.
